No One Likes The Idea Of Their Bug Out Area Being Robbed, Especially When SHTF. That's The Last Thing You Need. Stay Safe From Intruders By Setting Up This Easy To Make Tripwire:
Establishing a bug out location is a lot of work. You've spent years and likely large amounts of your hard-earned money on preparing your stockpiles and securing a location where you can be safe from the events that require you to be hidden away from the world. All that said, the last thing you'll want is someone to come unannounced and force you to decide between saving your gear and saving your life.
In the event of this possibility, you'll want a forewarning of intruders before they can surprise you. Preparedness is everything, and if you can get an extra couple of minutes of advanced warning, it could give you enough time to either get out of Dodge or sure up your defenses.
That's where this nifty little warning device could come in handy. For the price of some surplus military supplies, a bit of string, and a few shotgun caps and nails, you could make a deafening tripwire that we guarantee you will hear no matter what you're doing.

I love this blog!
No, in a real SHTF situation if someone comes to you with out announcing them selves they are going to harm u and your party.
I say build traps.

Ya I say look up what the VC employed as countermeasures when SHTF
How did find my bag?
You can cover your entire perimeter with this method fairly quickly. I’m going to put this one in my bag of tricks.
This is fast too, added benefit trespassers won’t be able to hurt you(add piece of pipe nailed to 2×12 for maximum effect
Rig up some improvised explosives just incase they cruise in on tanks.. 😉
Being in the paintball and airsoft Industry I have to say a big NO to having these on our fields. Our insurance would not allow it. And trip wires are also a big no from insurance let alone a primer fired device. Now for the SHTF situation you bet I’ll make these along with my trip wire flares.
I can’t find grenade tops like this anywhere
I have what they call drive way alarms.each one has 2 different tines plus high and low.so you can have uo to 8 and know instantly from the sound what area has been compromised.
Nothing would piss me off more than have an alarm go off and have to reset it because of an animal.
With the alarms .get gos off check your camera lay back down.
They sale these on ebay we bought 3 last year to detour people from walking behind my friends home going to a known drug location a night.

They sell the grenade tops on eBay?
Pungi pits!!!
Yeah we bought those 3 for $21
Forget a little noisemaker, take a mouse trap, and a 12 gauge shotgun shell, bend the wire that kills the mouse in such a way that it only strikes the primer of the shell, whittle a notch in the top of the trap that will hold the shell, point in the direction the supposed intruder will come from then rig your tripwire.
Sorry $24.99
“Laws”, “regulations”….yeah, we’re still a free Republic

Or, do like me. Spend a few hundred greenbacks on a box full of microcontrollers, sensors, actuators and Web interface modules, and build your own systems that not only detect, but act accordingly in your absence. From inducing pain until police arrive, all the way to fatal if you so desire.
Money better spent. And you can have great fun in the learning process.
