We moved from California to Kentucky and if there is one thing we miss, it is easy to access to a military surplus store. We had one practically in our back yard in California and it was fun going inside and seeing what new, strange, and beautiful delights awaited.
Okay, that might have sounded too feminine and fruity for this audience but it’s true. We got our first canteen at a military surplus outlet (MSO), bought by my Dad years ago – and it was purple! Got a camouflage hat on that same day.
So, we were excited when driving around our city here in Kentucky and seeing a sign that shouted: Military! I thought I found one and anticipated locating a great new backpack – but then realized it was a recruiting center. We are a little too old to be recruited now so our quest for a military surplus outlet (MSO) store continues!
However, the point is you can find all sorts of interesting things in a MSO and it is terrific for preppers and survivalists.
Go over to the next page and read about the wonderful treasures you can find at your local MSO!
I’ve found it’s not cheap to get stuff at the army Navy store.
