It’s about to rain. The clouds are shifting ominously, and you realize that you’re in for a long night. Unfortunately for you, your precious fire doesn’t look like it's going to withstand much. And you haven’t even had a chance to start cooking your dinner before settling in!
You take a look at your shelter. It took you most of the afternoon to construct it out of logs and sticks. It looks secure, but it’s definitely not going to be rain proof. If it pours, you’re going to be dripping wet all night.
This is only one of the reasons why it’s essential to have a tarp handy. Don’t put yourself in this situation!
There’s a simple trick to keeping both your fire and your shelter safe from the rain, without overheating the tarp or preventing airflow for the fire. Check it out on the video on the next page!
You didn’t really miss anything on this click bait article. I’m getting close to unsubscribing myself. I don’t like these click bait articles
His tip was to have a tarp over the fire? WOW! BRILLIANT!
Good design most of his videos are good.
This is so retarded. Why bother building a “shelter” if it doesn’t keep you dry? And, if you’re going to pack a heavy, bulky Walmart tarp why not just carry a nice light tent instead. Either learn to build a proper shelter or buy a tent. Don’t do some half assed, cobbled together, redneck bullshit.
Its not about keeping your shelter dry, its about keeping your fire going in a rainstorm jackass!!!!
Robert Michael Petty Read the words, you know, those little sqiggly lines you only marginally understand, “You take a look at your shelter. It took you most of the afternoon to construct it out of logs and sticks. It looks secure, but it’s definitely not going to be rain proof. If it pours, you’re going to be dripping wet all night.” Seriously. Why do people even bother to write articles when fuckwits like you can’t read?

I resent the “Redneck” comment! A TRUE redneck would not build something “half-assed”. Most of us are mechanically included enough to understand the workings of a good shelter.
