The Death Cap Mushroom is one of the most toxic mushrooms known to man. The non-edible fungi features a large fruiting body and rounded cap.
Its color can usually be described as pale green or yellow. Although it looks similar to edible versions, the Death Cap is actually a toadstool you don't want to eat.
The scientific name of the Death Cap is called Amanita phalliodes and it's a slow killer. Once a person consumes the mushroom, it takes roughly one full day for the symptoms to appear.
The list of notable symptoms include stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting. The mushroom's toxins soon cause liver failure and it can take days before the poison kills you.
