Thinking of going on a nature retreat, or are you just trying to prepare for your bug out scenario? When you’re staying in one place for a week, you know that setting up your shelter is more than just pitching up a DIY tent. Which, for simplicity’s sake, you’ll need a tarp, plenty of cordage, and an axe to cut the sticks you find.
When you’re alone in the wilderness, setting up your shelter also includes taking care of all your future needs. Your other needs should include locating your water supply, figuring out where you’ll be eating, and where you will keep your food store – especially if you will be in bear territory!
Alone of Vancouver Island, Survival Lilly shows us how to set up the perfect shelter. Check out the video to see how she spends her first day preparing for her week!
