Salt is great for melting ice and adding a little flavor to popcorn, but what else can you use it for? A simpler question would be “what can't you use it for?” Salt certainly has its place in the world, but maybe after watching this video, that place will get just a bit bigger.
What makes this video great is that it's not just helpful information for preppers and homesteaders, but for anyone who wants to learn a few tricks and maybe lessen their chemical impact on the environment.
After all, what do you think is more dangerous to the water supply: a highly concentrated concoction of chemicals in the guise of drain declogger, or salt, baking soda, vinegar and boiling water? Not a hard choice there.
Also, we love the tip on cleaning bathroom walls and sponges. Usually, I just toss my sponges away when they get all greasy and gross, but with this tip I think I'll greatly cut down on my landfill impact.
